Our camps are open to all levels of tennis players. We have players from absolute beginner to tournament level / nationally ranked players. Our traditional camps are designed to be most suitable for beginner and intermediate players, while our Elite Training camps are a great fit for tournament-level campers.

We design our camps to teach the technical basics and love of the game to the beginning player, to introduce strategical decision making, and more advanced technique to the intermediate player, while building on their current stroke production, and to put the advanced players into pressured, strategical and competitive situations.

Each camp location has a different range of camper ages (from 5-18). Please visit the location page of the desired camp location to see the age range for any particular camp.

We offer two types of camp each year. Traditional and Elite Training camps.

Traditional Camps

Our traditional tennis camps (non-match-play, national or college prep camps) are designed to focus on the fundamentals and swing techniques of modern tennis strokes. Some of the areas of focus for each level include:

Beginners: The beginning level player will be introduced to the basics of the game. Emphasis will be placed on stroke production and the technical aspects of the swing to teach these young players sound fundamentals from the ground up.

Intermediate: Intermediate level players will also focus on fundamental stroke production (to ensure proper technique), but will also be put into match play situations to introduce these players to the competitive side of the game

Advanced: The more advanced players will work with stroke production in a competitive environment, but will also be introduced to the basic strategies of the game.

High School / Tournament: Varsity high school and tournament players will focus on the strategic and competitive aspects of the game. Although there will be attention spent on the stroke fundamentals, more emphasis will be placed on point progression, court positioning, patterns and sequences, percentage plays and live ball drill work.

Elite Training Camps

The Elite Training camps are designed for players looking for a highly competitive experience, with an emphasis on match strategies, point building, and advanced high-intensity training. Campers will be exposed to many of the advanced teaching techniques and match play strategies found in the country’s top collegiate tennis programs. The players will focus on singles strategies including offense, defense, alternative patterns of play, as well as the role of footwork and balance.

These camps will also feature Match Play, with on-court coaching from our staff to ensure that these techniques are being adopted and understood by the young players. It is the main goal of the camp to teach the students a way to improve dramatically by playing percentages and understanding the strategies of the game of tennis.

The majority of our camps are directed by top collegiate coaches and therefore subject to the rules and guidelines of the NCAA. Therefore, all our camps are open to all players and only restricted by age. With that said, the Elite training camps offer a more intensive training atmosphere and therefore we recommend that players attending these camps can handle the rigors of a more intensive environment.

Overnight camps include lodging and all meals for the duration of camp, as well as tennis and social activities. The commuter option is available at several of our overnight camps and typically (subject to variance by location) include lunch and dinner throughout the week, as well as tennis and social activities. Day camps often offer two options: Full day or Half day. During a half-day camp, lunch is not provided.

Campers will be divided into small instructional groups of approximately 4-6 campers to one coach. Some camps/sessions offer higher or lower ratios based on the curriculum.

We will take registrations right up until the first day of camp as long as spots are still available. Many of our camps do sell out and we recommend signing up as soon as possible to ensure inclusion.

Discount availability varies by location. Discount options may include Team Discount, Multi-week discount, or pro-rated weekly discount.

A few of our camps offer a pro-rated camp rate for those that cannot attend the entire week of camp. Please email the office for specific offering at each location.

We do have a waiting list for our camp weeks that sell out. It is not unusual for us to add campers from the waiting list due to late cancellations. To be added to the waitlist, please register here (there is no fee to join the waitlist).

We recommend all families purchase camp/cancellation insurance if they are concerned about the investment they are making in the camp. Kids may get sick or injured, and family plans change from the time of registration leading up to the camp. Camp insurance allows peace of mind and has many benefits in any of these events. Please review our policies for more information about camp/cancellation insurance.

Registration for camp is not complete until the $200 Camp Deposit has been received by the Premier Sports Camps, Inc. offices. This deposit holds and ensures the child’s spot in the designated camp. In the event of camper cancellation prior to 14 days from the start of camp, the camp deposit will not be applied to any camp credit without the purchase of Cancellation Insurance.

A one-time per year $25 seasonal fee is applied to all our camps. This fee is considered non-refundable in the event of camper cancellation and will not be applied to any camp credit.

Please read carefully. We encourage all our families to purchase camp insurance for peace of mind in the event of camper cancellation.

More than 14 days prior to the start of camp: If you have to cancel, for any reason, we will issue you a camp credit for all camp fees paid, valid through the current camp year. This credit can be used on any Wilson Collegiate Camp and is only applicable toward the student enrolled and cannot be transferred to any other party or person, family member or otherwise.

Less than 14 days prior to the start of camp: If you have to cancel, for any reason less than 14 days prior to the start of camp, a credit will be issued for all camp fees paid, less the $200 camp deposit and the registration fee, valid through the current camp year. This voucher can be used on any Wilson Collegiate Camp and is only applicable toward the student enrolled and cannot be transferred to any other party or person, family member or otherwise.

Once camp begins: No refunds or camp Credit will be issued once the camper has checked into camp and the camp has begun. In the event of an injury during camp and documented by both the camp director and with a note from your family doctor, we will issue a pro-rated credit for those days missed valid through this camp year. This credit can be used on any Wilson Collegiate Camp and is only applicable toward the student enrolled and cannot be transferred to any other party or person, family member or otherwise.

We realize that kids get hurt and sick and/or summer plans change. With this in mind, we encourage all campers to purchase Cancellation Insurance to provide peace of mind in these situations.

The cost of Cancellation Protection for $50 per session, due at the time of registration. Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full cash refund of your camp tuition fees paid to date (Please note: the $50 Cancellation Insurance Fee & registration fee are non-refundable.) if you cancel for any reason before 14 days from the start of camp. If the cancellation occurs 14 days or less, a camp credit will be issued for all monies paid through the following year.

Highlights of Cancellation Insurance:

Cost $50

Cash Refunds for all monies paid (14 days out or more)

Extend Any camp credits (less than 14 days out) by 1 full year.

Pro rated credit for early camp departure in the case of injury.

Benefits

More than 14 days before the start of camp: Full Refund of all monies paid (less the $50 Insurance fee and the registration fee).
Less than 14 days before the start of camp: Camp credit for all camp fees paid (less the $50 Insurance fee and the registration fee) valid through the following camp summer.
Once Camp Begins: In the event of injury (must be documented with a note from your doctor) A pro-rated credit will be issued for any Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camp through the following year.

In the unlikely event Premier Sports Camps, the University or any of our partners cancel your camp week, we will refund all camp tuition and registration fees. PSC is not responsible for personal travel or other expenses associated with attending the camp. Camper waives all damages that may otherwise arise out of any camp cancellation and agrees to accept as liquidated damages said camp tuition and registration fees.

The balance for each week of camp is due by May 1.

Your remaining camp balance can be paid online HERE or a check can be mailed to Premier Sports Camps, 4885 Shackelford Ct. Columbus, OH 43220.

Before camp, you will receive an email from our camp office highlighting all the pertinent camp information. This email will contain detailed directions and instructions for the check-in process.

If your camper will be arriving late, you will need to notify the camp office prior to arrival by emailing info@premiersportscamps.com or the camp director. If your camper needs to leave camp early for any reason during the week, you will need to notify the camp director during check-in.

No Camp Insurance:

No refunds or camp Credit will be issued once the camper has checked into camp and the camp has begun. In the event of an injury during camp and documented by both the camp director and with a note from your family doctor, we will issue a pro-rated credit for those days missed valid through this camp year. This credit can be used on any Wilson Collegiate Camp and is only applicable toward the student enrolled and cannot be transferred to any other party or person, family member or otherwise.

With Camp Insurance:

In the event of injury (must be documented with a note from your doctor) a pro-rated credit will be issued for any Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camp through the following year.

In most cases, we adjust our schedule to avoid the rain. We strive to keep the camp outside to provide a much better experience for all campers, unless necessary. The inclement weather policy varies by camp location and is dictated by the availability of indoor courts. Many of our camp location pages will outline the policy directly on their page. If you are concerned about the weather policy, please email the camp directly about your desired camp location.

There is very little downtime throughout the camp week. The majority of what little spare time the campers do have is in the evening and we fill that time with activities each night. Examples include (but are not limited to) Ice Cream socials, Pizza nights, Movie nights, Game room night, Bowling, Swimming, Night Tennis, Talent show, Camp Dance, and Casino Night.

Players stay in the college residential halls. The students are typically housed 2 to a room (although in certain circumstances triples are available). Special arrangements can be made to have multiple rooms next to each other if requested. For special rooming requests, please email the office.

All activities, both on and off the courts, are supervised by mature and responsible staff members. Safety is a top priority throughout the week. With more than 20 years of experience running sports camps, we have developed detailed rules and regulations to provide a safe atmosphere at the camp. No one is allowed to leave campus or leave the group during camp. Supervision in the residence halls at night ensures the campers are getting adequate rest. Also, campus security is present at all times.

Campers are divided into small instructional groups by age, experience and ability. We make sure each camper is challenged, yet comfortable in their surroundings, enabling optimized learning.

We break the campers into small instructional groups of kids of similar age and ability so each child is working in a group that is commensurate with their experience level. We tailor each program to the level of the players.

When you register for camp, there is a section for roommate requests.You may also email info@premiersportscamps.com with a roommate request up to 7 days before the start of camp. While we cannot guarantee all roommate requests, rarely are we are unable to make accommodations.

Information on which airport is closest to your particular camp is listed in the More Information section of each camp location page. Although we do not have a regularly scheduled shuttle to and from camp, arrangements to pick up and drop off a camper can often be made (for an additional fee). To check availability and schedule this service, please email info@premiersportscamps.com PRIOR TO COMPLETING REGISTRATION.

Campers do not need extra money for any of the training or meals. On occasion, there may be additional money needed for social events at certain locations. We recommend that you contact the camp to see if additional money is needed for social events. In addition, some locations have camp gear (t-shirts, hats etc..) available for purchase.

Cell phone usage is restricted on the court and during certain activities, but is permitted at all other times. Some locations may have more stringent phone policies, and we recommend you clarify any concerns with the camp director at check-in.

Some of the dorms and/or campuses we use for our overnight camps do allow campers to access the campus wifi. However, this is not guaranteed and each camp is unique. We recommend you contact the camp director for verification.

Parents are permitted to attend camp and encouraged to stop by at any point. Please confirm the schedule with the camp director in case of inclement weather.

Please notify our camp office (info@premiersportscamps.com) prior to arrival at camp. At most of our camp locations, there are multiple options at each meal to accommodate all types of food preferences, including vegetarians, vegans, as well as all food allergies. Each food option is marked with health content and ingredients. In addition, the dining staff will help any child with food allergies or preferences.

Many of our camp locations have trainers available on campus. However, this availability varies by location. We recommend you contact the camp director for verification.

Please notify our camp office via EMAIL prior to arrival at camp about any special needs you may have during camp. We will make every effort to accommodate these needs if we have proper time to prepare.
